Identifying Strep Throat Symptoms

Sore throat symptoms are usually easy to spot. Sore throat is a local bacterial infection with group A streptococci. Sore throat needs special medical treatment consisting of antibiotics and analgesics. Unlike the symptoms of a sore throat, sore throat symptoms are more intense and often include fever, headache, tonsillitis, and swelling of the lymph nodes. Sore throats are caused by viral infections and in most cases do not require special medical care. On the other hand, strep throat is considered a serious illness that can lead to complications. (Sinusitis, tonsillitis) and therefore requires appropriate treatment and special medical care.
